the design for Threadless that i ultimately ended up going with.

it's extremely simple, but i didn't think it needed a lot of flashy stuff anyway. I had my Dad in mind the whole time that i worked on this project, and he wasn't into super flashy shirts anyway. granted cartoon characters weren't exactly his thing either, but since i drew this one i think he would make an exception <3

so, real Sebastian is like an angry fowl with dentures. he is supposed to look tough, but i don't think it translates well in the original. so i tried to make him more ibis like, and still confident at least. yes, i know i took some liberties with the face and bill....

i really miss my Dad.

University of Miami's Sebastian the Ibis, reborn... into a spindly legged doe eyed bird. drawn up for a contest on Threadless. i didn't go with this design, but i still think he is kind of cute.
